Milltek Resonator Bypass Midpipe for BMW M140i M240i F20 F21 F22 16-21
This Milltek Sport 80mm (3.15") midpipe replaces the two resonators in the middle of the M140i and M240i exhaust with straight-through pipework. Removing the resonators lets more of the B58 straight-six's sound through to the rear silencer, for a louder, crisper note.
Two versions are available: one to suit the factory (OE) rear silencer, and one to suit BMW's optional M Performance rear silencer. Both require the OE system to be cut. Like every Milltek system, it is designed, developed and hand-finished in the UK from T304 stainless steel, with mandrel-bent pipework for smooth gas flow.

Not suitable for: the earlier M135i and M235i, the F23 M240i Convertible (not listed by Milltek; please contact us), or the later G42 M240i. Make sure you choose the version that matches your rear silencer.
Installation
The OE exhaust must be cut to fit this midpipe. Measure carefully before cutting, and make sure you have the right version for your rear silencer, as a cut system can't be refitted. We strongly recommend professional fitting by an exhaust specialist, with the car safely raised on a ramp.
OE or M Performance rear silencer: which version do I need?
Choose SSXBM1432 if your car has the standard (OE) rear silencer, or SSXBM1433 if it has BMW's optional M Performance rear silencer.
Do I need to cut my exhaust?
Yes. Both versions require the OE system to be cut, so we recommend fitting by an exhaust specialist.
What will it sound like?
Removing the resonators lets more sound through, so the exhaust becomes louder and crisper. The rear silencer still controls the overall volume.
Does it fit the M240i Convertible?
Milltek lists it for the F20, F21 and F22 only. Please contact us before ordering for an F23 Convertible.
Does it need a remap?
No remap is needed to fit a resonator delete midpipe on its own.
Does it remove the catalytic converters?
No. It replaces the midpipe resonators only.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes. It is covered by Milltek Sport's manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
