Choosing a Milltek exhaust for the X4 M LCI
Start by checking whether your car has a particulate filter. For UK and European cars with an OPF/GPF (2022 on), the filter-back system fits behind the factory filter and leaves the downpipes alone. The downpipe-back system replaces more of the exhaust and, like most downpipe upgrades, will usually need an ECU remap. Active Valve Control is listed for these cars too.
North American and rest-of-world cars without a filter (2022 on) have their own cat-back system, so choose that rather than the OPF/GPF parts above.
X4 M sound, tips and bypass parts
The GPF/OPF bypass is a louder, motorsport-oriented option, and the secondary catalyst bypass is for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test. Tips are GT-115 in polished, titanium, burnt titanium or Cerakote Black, or JET-115 carbon fibre; compare them on the tip styles page.
