Picking the right Milltek system for the CLA35
CLA35 listings cover both the Coupe and the Shooting Brake, so body style is not the deciding factor; the particulate filter is. OPF/GPF cars have a cat-back, a GPF/OPF bypass, sports cat and decat downpipes and Active Valve Control. Cars without a filter have a cat-back, a front-pipe-back system, a resonator bypass and both downpipes.
Systems come valved or non-valved, resonated or non-resonated, and resonated is the quieter choice with less motorway drone. The A35 saloon has its own listings in the A-Class collection.
CLA45 AMG and CLA45 S exhausts
For the first CLA45 AMG (2013-2018), Milltek offers a CLA45 cat-back system and sports cat and decat downpipes. The later CLA45 and 45 S Coupe and Shooting Brake (2020-2021) are OPF/GPF cars, so they take a particulate filter-back system that keeps the filter, with matching sports cat and decat downpipes.
Downpipes and bypass pipes on the CLA
Sports cat downpipes keep a catalyst, while decat downpipes are for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test. Either type usually needs an ECU remap. The GPF/OPF and resonator bypass pipes are louder, motorsport-oriented options. Find them all in downpipes, de-cats and sports cats.
