Ibiza Cupra and FR 1.8 20VT, and the 1.9 TDI
The Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20VT 180PS (2004-2007) and the FR 1.8 20VT Formula Racing (2004-2008) each have a cat-back and a cat replacement pipe. A cat replacement pipe removes the catalyst, so it is for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test. The 1.9 TDI 130PS and 160PS (2003-2007) has a cat-back and a large-bore downpipe.
Ibiza Cupra and Bocanegra 1.4 TSI, and the 6P 1.8 TFSI
The 1.4 TSI 180PS Cupra and Bocanegra (2009-2015) has a cat-back, a de-cat downpipe and a turbo-back system without a catalyst, again for off-road and competition use only. The 6P Ibiza Cupra 1.8 TFSI (2016-2017) has a cat-back plus a choice of a sports cat downpipe, which keeps a catalyst, or a de-cat. Downpipes come in versions for the OE system or a Milltek cat-back, and most need an ECU remap; see more in manifolds, de-cats and sports cats.
Resonated or non-resonated for your Ibiza?
Where both are offered, resonated is the quieter choice with less motorway drone and non-resonated is louder. Some listings also let you pick a single or twin jet tip, or a 63.5mm or 70mm pipe size. Tip styles are explained on our tip styles page, and the Leon Cupra collection covers the Ibiza's bigger sibling.
