Choosing parts for the RS4 B9 2.9 V6
Check whether your B9 Avant has an OPF/GPF before ordering. Cars without one (from 2018) have a cat-back, large-bore downpipes, cat replacement pipes and Active Valve Control. Cars with a filter (from 2019) have a cat-back, hi-flow sports cats, a de-cat downpipe and Active Valve Control. Hi-flow sports cats keep a catalyst; cat replacement pipes and de-cat downpipes do not, so they are for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test. Downpipes usually need an ECU remap.
RS4 systems are offered valved or non-valved, and a valved system pairs with Milltek's Active Valve Control from our electronics range. Sound options include resonated, which is quieter with less motorway drone, non-resonated, Road+ part resonated and a US-spec resonated version. Milltek for the RS4 B5, B7 and B8
The B5 bi-turbo Avant and the B8 4.2 FSI Avant each have one cat-back. The B7 4.2 V8 has two cat-back listings, a V1 ECE system (2006 to 2008) and a V2 (2006 to 2007), so compare the titles with your car. Hi-flow sports cats and cat replacement pipes are listed for the B7 V1 ECE. Coupé and Sportback owners with the 2.9 V6 Turbo should see the Audi RS5 range.
