Milltek parts for the S3 8L and 8P
The 8L 1.8T quattro has a single cat-back system. The 8P 2.0 T quattro is listed as a 3-door (2006 to 2012) and a Sportback (2007 to 2012), each with a cat-back, a turbo-back system with a sports cat, a cast HJS sports cat downpipe, a cast race cat downpipe and a de-cat downpipe.

The 8V is listed by body: 3-door, Sportback and Saloon/Cabriolet. Cars without a GPF (2013 to 2018) can have a cat-back, a Road+ centre silencer, a sports cat downpipe, a cast race cat downpipe, a de-cat downpipe and a Valve Delete Module for each body style, plus a turbo-back with sports cat for the 3-door. 8V.2 cars with a GPF (2019 to 2020) have their own cat-back, sports cat downpipe and de-cat downpipe for all three bodies, so check whether your car has a particulate filter before you order.
Resonated systems are quieter with less drone on the motorway, non-resonated systems are louder, and some S3 parts add Race versions. The Road+ centre silencer is part resonated, a middle ground for 8V owners who want more sound without replacing the whole cat-back.
Which exhaust fits the S3 8Y?
8Y Saloons and Sportbacks fitted with an OPF/GPF (from 2020) take a filter-back system, which keeps the particulate filter in place, along with a sports cat downpipe and a de-cat downpipe for either body and HJS Tuning ECE downpipes for the Saloon. Several of these listings cover both the 310PS and 333PS versions. North American 8Y Saloons without an OPF (from 2022) get a cat-back, a centre silencer, a sports cat downpipe and a de-cat downpipe. Some 8Y downpipes are offered with a GPF delete, a louder, motorsport-oriented option.
Is an S3 downpipe road legal?
HJS sports cat downpipes, sports cat downpipes and HJS Tuning ECE downpipes keep a catalyst. De-cat downpipes do not, so they are for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test.
