Choosing parts for the Boxster 718 GTS 4.0 and Spyder
The 4.0 cars are split by build date and gearbox. Cars built before February 2020 have one set of listings, and cars built after February 2020 are split again into manual and PDK. Within each group you will find a cat-back, two filter-back systems with different part numbers and a GPF/OPF bypass, so check your build date and gearbox, then compare the tip and option details on each filter-back listing. The bypass is a louder, motorsport-oriented option rather than an everyday road part.
Boxster 718 GTS 2.5T and 987 Boxster S
For the 718 GTS 2.5 turbo (2016-2022) there is a filter-back system, a full exhaust with a hi-flow sports cat and a full exhaust with a cat bypass. The sports cat version keeps a catalyst; the cat bypass version is for off-road and competition use only and will fail an MOT emissions test. The 987 Boxster S has separate cat-backs for the 3.2 Gen1 and the 3.4 Gen2.
Tips and resonators for your Boxster
Tip options include GT-100 and GT-115 tips in Polished, Cerakote Black, Titanium, Brushed Titanium or Burnt Titanium, plus JET-100 and JET-115 Carbon Fibre. One system is offered resonated or non-resonated; resonated is quieter, with less drone on a long run. See Milltek tip styles. The coupe equivalents are in the Cayman collection.
